Mauritius and The Seychelles are primarily beach destinations, although for keen bird watchers there are a number of rare endemic species found.

Madagascar, however, is altogether different, and more akin to the safari areas of mainland Africa with one most notable difference - all the land-dwelling mammals are unique to the country. The cultural diversity of all three destinations is an interesting contrast.
